  • Ultrabook’s Pushback to Tablets

    Last May, Intel, introduced the Ultrabook initiative supporting slimmer laptops that offer longer battery life and faster boot-ups–functions currently available in Apple’s MacBook Air and iPad tablet computers.

    Intel’s Ultrabook Push Coming to CES: Intel is hoping that its push to redefine laptop computing can stem the slide in PC sales. Last May the chip maker introduced the Ultrabook initiative supporting slimmer laptops that offer longer battery life and faster boot-ups–functions currently available in Apple’s MacBook Air and iPad tablet computers. Next week a number of companies will showcase Ultrabooks at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
