  • Google To Acquire Motorola Mobility

A corollary of the deal, could be the Motorola Mobility’s 17,000 patents on phone technology, which would put Google ahead of Apple, Microsoft and RIM, after Google lost out acquiring Nortel’s patents.

Google will pay $40 a share to purchase Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion in cash. Motorola Mobility, which was decoupled from Motorola in January, builds smartphones that run Google’s android operating system.

A corollary of the deal, could be the Motorola Mobility’s 17,000 patents on phone technology, which would put Google ahead of Apple, Microsoft and RIM (Research in Motion), after Google lost out acquiring Nortel’s patents, which were auctioned, and captured by Apple, Microsoft and RIM.

    Good luck.
