  • Greek Bailout: Reset for Rescue

European countries, both governments and private enterprise, led by Germany and France – have hit the reset button, and are recalibrating the way forward. It’s hard to admit mistakes – yet even harder to keep committing them. This is something that the United States better learn fast, because we are looking a lot like Greece – without having a bailout partner: America has forgotten that it is supposed to be the world’s bailout partner — how fast fortune changes.

Greece might be finally getting the help it needs, not only in terms of the financial bailout, but also by the shellacking they are getting from Eurozone leaders about its culture and corruption.

Not only does Greece need to understand its obligations financially, but they seem to be coming to the reality that the culture of no-work work, has to change: for the first time in many, many years, Greece’s economy and culture will need to based on performance, as opposed to historical awe.

In the USA Today article (AP), Greece Gets New Bailout with Private Sector Help, it displays how a public and private partnership has been created to address the Greek situation. The business community is looking at the big picture – playing the long game, because they know eventually they too will be ensnared in this crisis, so they decided to act urgently, and if the Greeks can find a semblance of austerity and performance: it might just work.

    Give credit where it’s due.

    Good Luck.
