  • The Next Frontier For Digital Music Services

Up until this point, no one has offered the freedom to chose what music is playing in such a massive way. Ten million songs at your fingertips, which can be played from the living room TV and the car.

“The next frontier for digital music is not a tablet or a smartphone, but two items that have been part of everyday life for decades: the car and the television set,” a recent NewYork Times article states.

Major advancements in cloud computing technology have created a myriad of new opportunities for on-demand music services such as Mog.

You may be familiar with Mog from its early beginning as a social networking site. In 2009, the company began to offer streaming music, and this year, they’ve started offering built-in access to their service on internet-ready LG, Samsung and Vizio televisions, as well as new BMW Mini models.

The opportunity is huge. Everyone has a radio in their car, but up until this point, no one has offered the freedom to chose what music is playing in such a massive way. Ten million songs at your fingertips, which can be played from the computer, cell phone, and now the TV in the living or bedroom, and the car.

The competition in this space is fierce, but the potential payoff  for companies like Mog is mind-boggling.

Check out the article I mentioned, “Mog, Streaming Music Service Take Aim at TVs and Cars” to find out more about this developing business and technology.
